A 26-year-old girl from Afghanistan seeking asylum in America has no choice but to place all her trust in a stranger. The stranger, a young 23-year-old girl herself, ignores stereotypes surrounding the asylee’s origins. Not only does the stranger open her apartment for refuge, but she chooses to sleep on the floor so the asylee can feel the comfort of a bed. An unconventional situation blossoms into a more powerful relationship than the two realize.
